Sankofa - NOT a Curse Poster

This poster utilizes the Adinkra symbol, Sankofa, meaning that we should learn from our past. In the past, mental illness has been known as a curse in Ghana and has been treated very poorly by countries all over the world. We can learn from our past failures and mistakes to develop the best possible mental health care for people today. With this poster, I hope to break that stigma in people's minds and encourage them to talk about their mental illnesses.

"The symbol teaches the wisdom in learning from the past to help improve the future. Therefore the Ghanaian society can learn from the negative impact their actions brought on the people living with mental health and seek better help for them in this era." -Helena Amoah (GOOD)
